N orman and Remi's perfect home life they had imagined when they had their daughters is put into chaos when their third daughter, Gina, becomes hostile towards her newborn baby sister, Ivy. Thinking this was just sibling rivalry and it would pass, they made no attempt to intervene. But as the girls grow older the hostility between the two continued. Although their older sisters, Marilyn and Laura, voice their concerns about Gina's abuse toward Ivy, they are told not to get involved. Gina's persistent bad behavior ruins many family events and causes division between the family members. As time passes and the daughters mature, the aggression continues to a point where Gina is suspected of being involved with Ivy's disappearance.
