All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten By Robert Fulghum (1990 Hardcover)

A handful of books have magic attached to them and this book is one of the rare few destined to become a modern classic. A book to raise the spirits and warm the heart, this collection of uncommon thoughts on common things has taken on a life of its own. This book started as Fulghum's attempt to write a simple credo. In his capacity as a Unitarian minister, he shared his statement of belief with his congregation, then read it at a primary school celebration. As fate would have it, Washington's Senator Dan Evans was in the audience. Impressed and touched by what he had heard, he requested a copy of Fulghum's speech and took it back with him to Washington, D.C. where it was eventually read into the Congressional Record. The book made its way from Washington to the Kansas City Times, which ran Fulghums observations in its Sunday edition. The response was overwhelming. This book is a collection of Fulghum's favorite observations, written over the years. and reflect one man's vision of the wonder of everyday life. His writing has a clarity and power that touch virtually everyone who reads his work.
