All Dressed Up

By: Marcus, Jon

Norman is a database engineer in Silicon Valley. He's in his 40s, can't find a job and is running out of money. Age discrimination is America's dirty little secret. No one talks about it and it ruins lives. When you are desperate for money, what lengths will you go to get a job?

Be careful what you wish for, you may get it. Norman takes drastic measures and they work but have unintended consequences that are bizarre and hilarious. Here is a comedy based on real issues of tech companies and hiring practices.

The writer of this story worked with tech companies for 25 years while living in San Francisco. His career as an employment recruiter in SF and Silicon Valley gave him first hand knowledge to paint the accurate picture of living in the tech hub and seeing life inside these companies. Now he lives in LA writing comedic movies and spending his spare time worrying and dodging LA drivers.
