Alien's Briefing

AREA 51...LAS VEGAS, NEVADA YES, ALIENS ARE HERE MY PATIENCE WAS WEARING THIN SITTING in my car with the AC blasting at eight in the morning. The summer heat was pushing a hundred degrees and I had been waiting over half an hour in the guest line to get through the guard gate of this military base. No one seemed in a hurry; check in was going along at a very slow pace. I had not planned on the fact nor had I dreamed; there would not be a coffee shop along the way of the hour plus drive to get here. Not having my morning caffeine fix made me a little grouchy. The drive here was boring and the scenery was all natural desert landscaping. Yes about as natural as it can get for the Las Vegas desert. I did not get much sleep last night from tossing and turning. My mind was going a million miles a minute just thinking about the subject matter on today's briefing of Aliens. It was beyond my imagination as to why someone like me was invited to a highly confidential meeting at this air force base about Aliens. Of all the three million people in Las Vegas, yours truly Megan Stinson was invited. The invitation had attracted my attention when it came to the part about creating a safety and survival guide for kids. I loved working with kids and had helped many children's charities and organizations. The Alien Ambassador part was another story. I had no college degrees that would warrant any benefits in dealing with Alien species. Though I had studied religions and traveled the world many times. Only experience and knowledge I had to bring to the table was that of a writer and real estate broker. The thought made me chuckle as I pictured in my head, Aliens wanting to buy some land or a home. Oh my imagination, I could always entertain myself. It was a little to the extreme for so early in the morning. That would be a funny story to sell an alien a home and introduce them to their neighbors. I smiled to myself, to me that was kind of funny. Guess it would depend on how one would picture the Alien. My sense of humor was usually only seen by myself; I rarely shared this side of my personality. Someone might lock me up or put me away in a funny farm. Yes, I needed some coffee to get my mind back on track as the drive here had me yawning more then the norm. The invitation had stated they would pick me up at my house or at my option I could drive here to the base. After this long drive, I was sorry I didn't take them up on their offer. Megan had no idea how today was going to turn out at this briefing. No one could be prepared to hear - that life in general, was about to change forever. The Aliens were here to help save us from Mother Nature's catastrophic events on the horizon. Global warming had escalated the evolution process of Planet Earth. An unexpected ending ............ To be Continued.
