ALIENATION

ALIENATION is extremely helpful for counselling people with extreme rejection or isolation disorders. I highly recommend BRUISES OF SATAN by the same author.

A real upper!

As you can probably tell, this isn't one of those books that's a high-flying, uplifting experience. In fact, the author is one of those guys who always looks like his dog just died. However, the book is genuine, and definitely has its merits. The book deals with a subject Christianity typically chooses to avoid: what's behind all of life's problems. While modern celebrity TV religion is focused on self-esteem and how to get promoted, Thompson deals with the reality of man's alienation from his creator, and the necessary steps to restoring this relationship. It's about the relationship between the father and his children, the fundamental relationship of mankind. The book's not necessarily a downer, really, it'd just be nice to have some bad puns thrown in for the sake of levity.
