Book 3 of Alien Incarnation continues the story of Free, the would-be Liberator of Bless?d, a small cold planet inhabited by strange fur-covered primates forced by climate change to become part of the Domani Star Union. Free and The Responders are caught off guard by a total shutdown of planet Bless?d's com-net. The virtual reality game Vision Quest, their primary source of income and recruits, has gone off-line. The building of Sanctuaries for those left homeless, addicted, and despairing thanks to the Domani "justice" system has ground to a halt, but things are about to get much worse.

Free and his Responder Teams are caught in the middle of a violent revolution against the Domani puppet government. A Blest named Lover-of-Liberty now claims to be the planet's longed-for Liberator and has used The Responder's Release Technology to free inmates and parolees from the mind control of the Domani Penitence Chip. This has enabled them to turn former criminals all over Bless?d into an army of so-called Freedom-Fighters bent on destroying their oppressors. What can The Responders do to stop the killing? Does Free still have a chance to show Blest what true liberation is?
