I ordered this book through the San Francisco Chronicle for $15. This is an amazing book. Alicia was an amazing writer and I wish she had gotten the chance to write more. Every chapter of this book was excellent. I am a recient heart transplant recipient in my 20's and this book helped me put so many of my emotions into words. If you are "on the edge" about buying this book, definitely buy it. They need to print more of them, they also should be sold at mainstream bookstores. I am also a nursing student, and this book has great insight into the patients perspective of things and also taught me how I could explain things differently to patients to make the patient have a better experience. I am so sad we lost Alicia, reading her book has definitely made me look at my life differently. This is in no way your typical book from a sick patient.
