This delightful, illustrated Easter story, "Algeria Wakes a Friend on Easter," tells of a darling young girl, Algeria, who happens upon a girl, Cocoa, hurt in the church's parking lot. Remembering the Pastor's Easter sermon, Algeria repeats the Scripture she heard in the church earlier that day, "Why make ye this ado, and weep? The damsel is not dead, but sleepth," from Mark 5:35-43. Encouraged, Algeria starts to pray and sing for the pretty young girl who is injured near her parents' car. Her prayers and singing finally pay off as Cocoa awakens. She arises with Algeria. The girls enter into the cathedral and there they find a sanctuary filled with friends, love, and kindness. Wonderful book for the children! A great teaching guide on the meaning of Easter, biblical principles, and scriptures.
