Classic and delicious recipes

I used to frequent Albertina’s restaurant with my mother and we always loved everything we were served. The recipes are tried and true and when we ate something there that we loved, we always hoped it was in the cookbook. Some of our favorites are the Silverspoon Chicken, Albertina’s Special Dressing, Broccoli Almond Salad, Mustard-Pickled Beans, and Nutcracker Chocolate-Chip Torte. Sadly Albertina’s closed last year but at least we have the memories and some of the recipes!

Great for entertaining

This is my favourite cookbook for entertaining. The recipes aren't too hard to make, but have a dash of elegance. They use ingredients that are easy to purchase. I am vegetarian so there is a lot of the book I don't use, but there are many recipes I make again and again. In particular, I like the baked desserts that use fresh fruit. While not every recipe is incredible, I haven't found any real duds either.
