Akatanigbo, in Ilaje dialect, is a specie of the wild bee that produces no honey or sweetness, but straining sting. It is indiscriminate and indifferent to its victims' tears, statuses, classes or writhing in pains while stinging them. This collection, because of its satirical tone, dialectics and overt attacks on the oppressors and "enemies of the people", is likened to the sting of Akatanigbo which teaches its victims how to conform to moral order in the wilderness of life.
