Airport Planning and Design is an approved elective course of bachelor in Civil Engineering, Pokhara University, Nepal. The course is being offered in different engineering colleges affiliated to Pokhara University for either seventh or eighth semester.This subject contains airport master plan, component of aircraft, runway orientation and design, pavement design, taxiway design, pavement maintenance, terminal design, air traffic control and visual aids. This course will definitely puts a foundation for the students who are interested in airport engineering. Recently public service commission of nepal has added this syllabus for the examination to be a government civil engineer
