This book is really good. Not only as an instruction manual but also as a self-study book, it is one of the best. Let me explain the reasons. First, the contents gives a fuller image of the whole book than others. The table says even who writes the examples and what are they about. In short, it gives very detailed information. Second, the preface itself is a good example of good writing. It is very well-organized, and gives a clear view about the features of this book. Third, the margin is broad enough. It makes this book very comfortable to read. Forth, every explanation about the writing process is followed by a check list. The summary helps readers to remember what they have read. It also helps them to structurize the whole writing process. Fifth, this book provides a lot of examples of good writing. Most of them are clipped from the works of famous writers. Reading good examples is a good practice. Sixth, Questions for study and discussion are followed by every example. They helps readers to read more carefully and critically. Seventh, writing ideas are also followed. They encourage readers to write by being guides to what to write and how to write. I like this book for all these strong points. To anybody who wants to be a good writer, it is a very good reference to work with. I believe you also enjoy it.
