I am Dr. Anil Kumar, an educator with the privilege of having headed numerous CBSE schools across India and having taught in various countries around the globe. Over the years, I have witnessed the evolution of education, and amidst all these changes, one thing has remained constant-my insatiable curiosity and desire to explore new frontiers of knowledge. Recently, it is Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has captivated my imagination, and I am delighted to see that CBSE has recognised the importance of AI as a vocational subject.I have created a series of three volumes, each carefully tailored to the age and learning capacity of pupils in classes 6, 7 and 8. The content progresses thoughtfully, growing more intricate as the pupils advance through the grades, ensuring a solid foundation in AI concepts. The three volumes are aptly named: Volume 1: AI Explorers - The Foundation (For Grade 6)Volume 2: AI Adventurers - Unlocking the Future (For Grade 7)Volume 3: AI Pioneers - Shaping Tomorrow (For Grade 8)Each volume is designed with age-appropriate content to engage the pupils at their respective learning stages. This course spans seventy to eighty hours, but with December and March set aside for exams, we ought to prepare for lesser hours of teaching and learning, structured with two weekly hours dedicated to the subject. This schedule is both flexible and robust, ensuring that our pupils can engage deeply with the material without feeling rushed.My aim is not simply to teach AI but to inspire our pupils to explore, question, and imagine. AI is not just a subject; it is a gateway to unlimited possibilities. It offers our pupils the opportunity to engage with the world in new ways, to solve problems creatively, and to unlock their potential. Through these volumes, we embark on an exciting journey-not just into the world of AI, but into the very future itself. Together, we will equip our pupils with the tools, the knowledge, and the confidence to not only thrive in this new world but to shape it.Welcome to Volume 1 of this thrilling exploration into AI.
