Bird interference in agricultural and industrial areas causes considerable yield loss and maintenance issues worldwide. Conventional deterrent techniques such as scarecrows, reflective tapes, and ultrasonic sound emitters often lose efficiency due to bird habituation. To overcome these limitations, this Book presents a Bird Repellent System using Machine Learning (ML) and Internet of Things (IoT). The proposed system employs a Raspberry Pi integrated with a webcam mounted on a 180 servo motor to continuously monitor the surroundings. Using a lightweight convolutional neural network (CNN) model, the captured video stream is processed in real time to detect bird presence. Upon detection, a motor-driver-controlled amplifier and speaker are triggered to emit distractive audio signals that repel birds from the protected zone. Additionally, the system can log detection events and send notifications over Wi-Fi for remote monitoring.
