Agathokakological retells well-known stories from Christianity from the perspective of a bored Creator who seems at once baffled, amused, and annoyed by the way the people on Earth behave. The book highlights inconsistencies within the Bible and leads the reader to question the morals and the logic behind some of these most well-known stories. From a reader's point of view, it is not always clear what the aim/message of this book is; at times it feels like the book is criticizing God and the Christian faith but at other times this isn't so clear. The concept of the book is intriguing and has an important message to get across, and whilst many parts are highly entertaining,Agathokakological opens with a poem that offers an initial insight into what the book is going to be about and introduces the reader to the theme of duality, and in particular the gray area between good and evil. The Creator is a fantastic, engaging character and is the highlight of this book. I love how mischievous and imperfect he is and how hypocritical and arrogant he seems. Somehow, for all his faults, The Creator is charismatic and appealing and yet completely unworthy of worship.
