A Touching Story

I was extremely impressed by this book! H.R. Holm has a way of making you feel like you are living the life of the main character right along with her. Once you pick it up, you won't be able to put it down. It touched my heart and made me think of experiences in my own life that were similar to hers. When I finished the book, I was ready for the sequel. Only one problem...there isn't one yet! Please H.R. Holm, give us a sequel! Congrats on a job well done! 2 HUGE thumbs up, and 5 stars!

Why read "Against an Amber Sky?"

It is well written. The author has a way of "pulling you in" to gain a fondness and closeness to all characters while keeping the constant interest of the reader. I appreciate the main character, she is lovable and humble, while gracefully handling the hard lessons of life. Besides a great story, the book includes some beautifully written poetry, which has been cleverly interwoven into the "much inspired" book cover. I have had similar experiences and miracles in my own life, so I can greatly relate to the story. Once you begin the reading, you will have a desire to finish the whole book in one sitting. It has great moral value, and is a step above most novels available today! I applaud it!

I really loved this book. I am actually 14 years old. I really enjoyed the book, it was a mix between faith, humor, trust and hope. It was very well thought up and I really hope H.R. Holm writes a sequel.

Funny, Beautiful, Engaging! A Story Everyone Can Relate To!

This is an engaging story of a teenaged girl growing up in the late sixties/early seventies finding herself and determining her path in life. Although it is about a teenager, it is universal in the audience it can inspire. All of us who have been a teenager can relate to it. I loved the story because it deals with good values, difficulties, faith, and hope. There are heart-warming and funny moments that we can all relate to. I found myself wondering what Bodie was going to do next! I would recommend this to all ages!
