The best! A very good end to the series.

This is one of the best SV books ever! Everyone is learning to cope after the earthquake. Liz can't remember anything about the earthquake so she is convinced Devon saved her and Enid. Enid obviously had a crush on Devon before they found out the truth. Devon was getting a lot of publicity. Meanwhile, Jessica is so upset about watching Alyssa die and is certain that she killed her. I thought that Jessica in particular was having a hard time. Some of the only things she is able to salvage from their wrecked house is Christian's surfboard and Sam's biking helmet. Liz is able to get her clothes, cheerleading trophy and diaries. Ken is sooo depressed about Olivia. He finally agrees to read the eulogy for her funeral. Todd and Lila are wishing they actually did kiss. Lila decides to 'reinvent' herself and become a better person mostly for Todd's sake. Bryan (Alyssa's brother) comes with his parents to the Fowler Crest to talk to Jessica. Bryan yells at Jess and tells her it's all her fault. Later, they resolve things and agree that it was the earthquake's fault. At Olivia's funeral, Ken reads a really touching speech for Olivia. Liz gets her memory back and confronts Devon after the funeral. He lies at first, but then Ken and Maria and Jessica come to her rescue and they put him in his place and get him to admit to everyone that he left them to die. Todd kisses Lila at the funeral and doesn't feel a connection or anything. Lila gets so mad him, forgets about 'reinventing' herself, and rather selfishly leaves with Amy to buy Amy clothes to bribe her so she won't tell anyone about the kiss she witnessed. Liz goes over to see Todd that night and they say their final goodbyes. That part was so sad and sweet at the same time! The next morning, everyone meets at the ocean for the scattering of Olivia's ashes. Liz, Jessica, and Lila leave together afterwards and Jessica decides the earthquake really has changed her. The last words in the book were 'Sweet Valley would never be the same again.'This book made me cry and is one of the best Sweet Valley High books.

deffinantly one of my favorite!

Sweet Valley is in pieces. Can it be, funky, sweet Olivia is dead? Can Elizabeth handle it? Even more can Ken live on without his one true love or will he give up? Will he go to her funeral and lay her to rest? Will Elizabeth be able to remember what happened after the earthquake or did her getting electricutied make her loose her memory of it forever? Will Jessica ever be able to forgive herself for the death of Alyssa and admit it was and accident so she can finally get some sleep or will the thought haunt her forever? Nothing can chear her up. Maybe the easiest way is to give up all together noone needs her maybe she should just... die? Or could a special little boy and his father teach her that miracles still can happen? Will she choose to live on or loose her life forever? Lila cant get todd out of her mind! Does todd secretly feel the same way or does he still love Elizabeth with all his heart? Was it Devon who saved Elizabeth and Enid? Is he lyeing or telling the truth? He would never lie to Elizabeth, would he? It's time to start re-building Sweet Valley. Everyone needs to pitch in and do there part. So many people left homeless and others even dead. What will happen? This book was great! i couldnt put it down! Deffinantly read this if you want another great story about Elizabeth, Jessica, and the whole group as they battle the consequences of a tragic earthquake but still living on dealing with everything from bad hair days to horrilbly tragic deaths of loved ones.

Best Sweet Valley Book Yet Besides Eathquake!

I loved this book this was the third Sweet Valley book to make me cry. Olivia's death was so sad and at her funeral everyone said such wonderful things about her. For all the other people who wrote reviews and were wondering why Olivia becomes reincarnated I think I have an answer for you. SVU #8 was written almost four years before SVH Eathquake and Aftershock. Obviously Francine Pascals had not yet decided to kill off Olivia so she wasn't dead. There are a lot of descrepencies between the series. You really have to read SVH and SVU as if they weren't even related. Or else you'll go out of your mind. So I agree Francine Pascals should keep better track of her characters but it wouldn't really be Sweet Valley with people coming back to life every now and again now would it? (Hint William White, Nicholas Marin, Christian Gorman, and now Olivia Davidson.) This two part mini series was the perfect way to end Sweet Valley High the Senior Year is even better. As long as I can read about the twins I will pleased. Long live Sweet Valley in any shape size or form! And a little ghost every now and then isn't gonna bother me!

An AMAZING Sequel to Earthquake, Suspensful, Exiting,AWESOME

An amazing sequel to Earthquake, this book goes all the way. If you like suspensful, amazing books, this is for you!! A definate two thumbs up!!! READ THIS BOOK!!!!!

Life goes on

The Wakefields stay at Fowler mansion when their house is ruined. While things in Sweet Valley are ruined and the town tries to rebuild itself, Jessica Wakefield is haunted by the tragedy that she believes she caused- the death of Alyssa, the 12 year old she watched fall to her death. Nothing that anyone says to her can make he think differently. Then she meets a young boy whose father lies in a coma. Can helping him teach Jessica that not everything in life can be controlled? Meanwhile, Elizabeth spends time searching for who saved her and Enid from death during the earthquake. Devon claims it was him, but was it? Todd begins to wish that he had actually had the chance to kiss Lila, and she wonders what it would have been like too... Finally, Olivia is laid to rest as Ken mourns her and is asked by her parents to deliver the eulogy. How can he say that he loved her and will miss her? This book was a touching story of what happens to the twins and their friends. This book was a longer book to read then the usual, which I found to be a nice surprise, and was very fast paced- there were not any parts I wanted to skip over. I can not wait to see what happens in Sweet Valley High: Senior Class.
