After The Silence
Daniel Alvarez's father worked thirty-one years for a watch and a handshake. Daniel can't get either. As an administration built on loyalty scores and engagement metrics tightens its grip on who eats, who's insured, and who's heard, a machinist, a delivery driver running food and secrets across state lines, and a teenage runaway named Omari Fields become three threads in a resistance that has no name and no army - only a conviction that a country was never land to begin with. It was a promise between strangers. And promises can be rewritten.
THE AGREEMENT is the story of how an empire built on silence finally cracks - and what ordinary people do with the wreckage.
A generation later, Omari Fields is no longer the boy who walked out of Detroit with a harmonica and a notebook. He is the man who helped build something real from the ruins: the Builders, a loose confederation of reclaimed towns bound not by law but by the hard-won habit of trust. It has healed the sick, fed the desperate, and taught children to argue in good faith instead of taking up arms.
But not everyone wants to be rebuilt. From tunnels in the Cascades, the Crescent Order is rising - a faith built on doctrine instead of doubt, on children raised as soldiers before they're old enough to choose anything at all. As Crescent patrols burn what the Builders plant and the war spreads from the Pacific Northwest to the gates of St. Louis, Omari must decide whether the world he built to never fight can survive without learning how.
THE REBIRTH is the story of what happens after you win the peace - and someone comes to take it back.
Together, these two novels form a single story about what it costs to tear a country down, what it takes to build one back up, and why neither job is ever really finished. AFTER THE SILENCE is for readers of layered, character-driven speculative fiction who want their hope to be hard-earned.
