One of the greatest concerns of man today is the future of this world and of mankind. Having entered a new millennium, more and more interest is being expressed through almost every media outlet. An increase in spiritism, mysticism, astrology, and a host of other -isms and -ologies pervade our world through the internet every day; all for the purpose of predicting what lies ahead for the world and for mankind.

We should not be surprised at such an increasing interest because such has been the concern of mankind as far back as first century Palestine at the very least. This interest was manifested through questions from the twelve disciples concerning the coming of the Messiah and the Kingdom of God. One encouraging thought is that Jesus understood their concern, (as well as our concern and curiosity). Through His written Word, God has provided several answers to such questions; but more importantly, these answers help us to understand more fully who we are and who the Lord wants us to become in our relationship with Him.
