Book Overview

A world of desire, seduction and scandal... Adina's beauty and wiles have enabled her to adopt the fast-paced lifestyle of the rich and fabulous...until she learns there's a contract out on her life. She flees Brooklyn to start over in an upscale suburb, living among the pampered and polished women she's always envied. But beyond the mansions and manicured lawns lies a world she never would have thought possible.... Sybil's exclusive catering business disguises her lucrative sideline venture: she's Delectable, a dominatrix who entertains at bachelor parties. Karla lives on a multimillion-dollar estate, and she and her husband enjoy an open marriage...but her need for male attention is starting to get dangerously out of control. And as Adina is drawn into the sizzling reality beyond her friends' perfect facades, she's also dealing with a new man, who's blissfully unaware of her not-so-innocent past. Now, each woman is about to discover that every passion has a price...and that some secrets are simply impossible to keep hidden. www.RochelleAlers.org

NYC to Jersey

Swinging isnt my thing, but hey everythang aint for me. Adina,Karla & Sybil, were women looking to be loved and appreciated, but went about it in the wrong way. I didn't see the ending of the book coming, But what I was hoping for was that Sybil's husband would get a CLUE. Unfortunately that is what happens in alot of marriages. People put their heads in the sand and try to not see what is already there. I loved LL more than Adina ever could. I wasn't to thrilled about the ending, hoping there is a possibility of a sequel just to have Adina come clean. Also exactly how far is Brooklyn from Jersey. She needed to have run alot farther if she was scared someone was going to kill her

Good Book

Rochelle Alers is one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed this book, although I didn't care for the ending.

Second Chance

Well written novel with fully developed characters. While I don't understand the whole swingin' thing, I really liked Karla and how she was driven sexually and professionally. Not sure whether I liked Karla's husband by the time the book ended. Sybil was cool and it was interesting how she exercised her demons thru her dominatrix role. But Adina, . . . When Adina fled Brooklyn to start over in NJ, you really understood her fear and desire for a new life, totally different from what she was used to. She was very smart and calculating and I liked how she incorporated the "smarts" of her "streetsmarts" into her new life/personality. You know how we say, "if I knew then, what I know now" -- well, her story gives you the chance to see that wish come to life. What can I say about Lance, other than he's truly a "gentle"man. Great book with lots of twists that left me thinking about the characters well after the book ended.
