African regional integration issues

In Africa, renewed aspirations for regional integration and cooperation are part of the search for solutions to the continent's deep and protracted economic and social crisis. This is happening against a backdrop that has in many ways become more conducive to the promotion of regional integration, paving the way for increased regional trade. If African regional integration is recognized as one of the economic strategies for resolving the problems of economic development, it has to be said that this regional integration presents challenges for the DRC because of its extroverted economy, which prevents the DRC, as a member of several regional and sub-regional organizations, from ratifying certain agreements. Although there are problems with African regional integration, it could be a factor in economic development if the various member countries manage to respect their commitments in general, and the DRC in particular.
