A great book to read to your kids

I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and as a way to stay connected with my little ones back in Seattle I recorded myself reading these stories to them using my webcam, made a dvd and sent it to them in a mail. I highly recommend this book to parents wanting to instill and interest in reading in their children and a sense of history and pride as well.

A Black Family heirloom!

I found this book in target 5 years ago for $10! I fell in love with it immediately. It has some Bro' stories that reminded me of childhood stories my Grandmother would tell me from Jamaica like Bro' Anasi...Any parent who sits and reads this book will surely reminisce about their childhood too!! My child is now 10 and we still read this book. I have given this book to every friend who has had a child ever since. This is a must for every child of African descent!
