Love makes fear go away

Duke of darlington aka dasher is too good at everything and everyone admires him. He is so successful at everything that nobody dares compete against him. He is cynical since everything is easy for him and he never had to try hard to get anything. Felica is his ward and is studying at a convent in Paris. She was his cousin's daughter. One day he found his cousin beating his own daughter and the duke saved her and made her his ward. Her father died when she was at the convent and left her with all his property worth 700,000 pounds. Some fortune hunters tried to get to know her when she was at the convent and that didnt work, they tried to kidnap her. The duke comes to know of all this and comes to paris to take her back with him to London and introduce her to the polite world. After meeting her, he finds out that becoz of the bad experience with her father, she is scared of all men and doesnt want to marry at all. The duke encourages her to give up her fear. When she was in Paris, a fortune hunter called Denis Arlen tries to kidnap her and the duke saves her. The duke admires her and realises that he loves her but he doesnt want to scare her by telling about his feelings. Later, when the duke was not at home, Denis Arlen disguises as a nun and threatens Felica that unless she marries him, he would kill the duke. At that moment, she realises that she loves the duke and that she would rather die that be the wife of anyone else. The duke comes back and felica saves him by hurling herself at Denis. She runs to the duke and kisses him and the duke realises that Felica loves him too and he kisses her and tells her that he loves her.
