This book examines aesthetic qualities of artwork created by children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this research I look for the answers to the existence of an aesthetic unique to children with autism as compared to that found in the artwork produced by neurotypical children. The goal of my study is to enhance our understanding of children with autism, lead to improved instruction in art and non-art classes, and establish a broadened aesthetic understanding that can inform the teaching of normative children.
