2156 - More than a century after nuclear destruction ended the Oil Wars and over five decades since the cities that rose from the ashes walled themselves off to protect against a deadly disease, Lex is just trying to get by in the slums of Aerora's Rat Run by whatever means necessary.

A chance run-in with his estranged older brother leaves Lex shaken and uneasy that his past is about to catch up with him. Little does he know his fear holds some weight, though to a degree he could never imagine as, just days later, the protocols meant to keep Aerora safe seemingly fail.

With the city descending into chaos, it becomes apparent that the outbreak is more than authorities can cope with, turning the borders that once kept the infection out into a cage preventing the city's population from getting out.

Now Lex and his friends are faced with a new fight for survival that will have far-reaching consequences for all involved, both personally and in broader terms, and a frantic race against the clock to find an escape route before time runs out.
