Aerona means "Battle Ender," but for this former Roman war dragon, the battle is just beginning. Violence and death seem to follow her wherever she goes and now, with her mate and her king both dead, she alone must find a way to protect her three eggs from the fiendish wizard, Merlin.

Soon Liz, her grandparents, and her sisters all get wrapped up in feeding and caring for the dragons, while trying to keep them hidden from the neighbors.

Meanwhile, Aerona's third egg is locked in the tower of Tintagel Castle where the new King Merlin plots to conquer Britain using Dragon Magic. Seemingly trapped in the future, Aerona must find a way to travel back in time, save her stolen egg, defeat a feisty blue-haired dragon-slayer, and destroy the wizard. But Merlin's dark magic is stronger than Aerona knows, and she cannot defeat him without the aid of her family and new friends, a clever servant boy with a secret identity, and a mysterious white dragon. To triumph over evil, the main characters must face their fears, use their own unique gifts and abilities, and work together to win the day.
