Cavities are inevitable components of many engineering applications. It is used to enhance the mixing, flame holding, flow control, control valve, landing gear bay, bomb bay, steam pipelines, etc. Although it has many advantages, both rectangular and axisymmetric cavities exhibit vibration and undesirable noise under certain flow and geometric conditions. In this work, the combined effects of two classical acoustic problems are studied, such as cavity and jet acoustics. This combination exhibits rich fluid dynamic interest and aeroacoustic complexity, and it has a wide range of applications.
