This is also the story of two Nations. One seen by many as a model of stability and affluence, a magnet for refugees fleeing environmental disaster. The other a warlike Nation, frightening and alien, determined to be the first and last to take refuge in this mountain locked land. Both Nations seek peace. A desire that will be tested at the gates of Aelderon. Aelderon is a novel about yearning, wanting something and one day waking to find that it is suddenly there, within reach. A single day that will change forever the lives of all that live through it. It is a story of hope and disappointment, wanting and getting, revenge and regret, love and loss. A story that reveals how the actions of a few can effect the lives of the many. From the ruling elite to the poorest refugees; from the mightiest commanders to the humblest warriors. From the few that believe that they are in control, to the many that know they are not. Each one caught in a web of events that will bring some a chance at redemption and others the opportunity for revenge. Aelderon is a long novel, around 1500 pages, and allows the reader to follow events from the perspective of those living through this fateful day. Social issues such as slavery, refugees, class divides, rebellion, fear of the 'other', relationships - are woven into the fabric of the tale. NOTE: Due to its size, Aelderon is published in three paperback volumes for technical reasons. All three form the complete novel. Aelderon is also published as a single volume e-book.
