Despite its title, Susan Block writes a clear, easy to understand, practical guide to developing a personal ad THAT WORKS! In the process you also get to learn a lot about yourself and what you REALLY WANT in a friend and/or an intimate partner... and out of life, too.The book is not without humor, either. Throughout there's the occasional illustration from the BLOOM COUNTY comic strip - specifically, the Personals Department of the comic's local newspaper.I still have my first copy - marked $5.95 on the cover. I've reluctantly lent it out a couple of times, but wouldn't part with it for the world.If you come across a copy, BUY IT! It's no longer in print.C.J.B.S.
