Finding strength in the midst of grief

When an opportunity to read Adventure's Invitation, I eagerly agreed to do so. I have read several of Cheri Swalwell's books in the past and knew I would enjoy this first book in the Redemption of Green Pines series; I was not disappointed. The story is heartbreaking and yet full of hope. Swalwell deals realistically with grief as she portrays Holly's journey of extreme sorrow. The story is strongly faith-based and inspirational in seeing how Holly finds strength in her family and friend relationships and her relationship with God. The honesty in her grief and anger is relatable, as is her willingness to open her heart to the Lord's plan for her life. Readers who enjoy contemporary Christian fiction will not want to miss Adventure's Invitation. I read a complimentary copy of the book and was not required to write a positive review. The opinions are my own.
