When my first born son Paul Daniel was born with Cerebral Palsy, I was DEVASTATED and my heart was SHATTERED in a million pieces. It was at this time I surrendered my life to the Lord as completely as I knew how and delved into reading, seeking, studying the bible as if my very life depended upon it! I felt I would DIE if the Lord would not heal my child! Day and night, I sought the Lord! My dire situation forced me to be in HIS PRESENCE, praying in the Spirit, then listening to God and writing down what I thought HE was saying to me. The Words I felt the Holy Spirit was speaking to me were life-giving, getting me through life one day at a time, hour at a time and sometimes minutes at a time. I was so devastated and desperate for words of hope and encouragement because the doctors were daily dashing my hopes with reports of, "Your son's brain was severely damaged at birth and will need 24 hour care for the rest of his life!"...Life happens...and you have to keep moving. Forward. Adversity is natural in our journey through life and what is most important is how we respond to it; what attitude we put on in the mist of adversity. This will determine how long we remain in that challenge or how soon we allow God to get us out of the situation.In Advancing In Adversity, Prophetic Devotional And Prayer Journal, Roseanna Roman shares some of her intimate discussions with the Trinity during her most trying times in her journey to becoming who God destined her to be.
