This book is really great. I've read several white papers and a few chapters from other books about IL programming and debugging, but the first two chapters of this book are the best I've ever seen. Robinson makes IL programming almost easy, his explanations on how to code with IL really turned on the light bulbs. But this isn't just an IL book, he just covers it so you have a good working knowledge of what your C# code gets compiled down to. Chapter 3's explanation of the JIT compiler is also outstanding, as is chapter 4's in depth explanation of an assembly. I wont go into detail of every chapter, but Robinson really has written a first class C# book here. I'd have to say it rivals right up there with Jeffrey Richter's Applied .Net book, and that's saying a lot. If you want a book that gets to the guts of .Net and the CLR, this is it!
