Biobutanol is very attractive energy source available and considered as superior fuel when compared with ethanol in many regards. When it is produced from petroleum-based feedstocks, it's commonly called butanol. As a four carbon straight-chain primary alcohol, butanol is a clear, colorless liquid possessing excellent fuel properties (Wang et al. 2018). Despite being from an alcoholic group its energy content is much closer to that of gasoline.
