This study focuses on the use of Aptenia cordifolia biomass for the removal of methylene blue from aqueous solution via adsorption. After characterizing the material (XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX, BET, and zeta potential), the operating parameters were optimized. The results show that adsorption is enhanced by increasing the adsorbent mass, pH, and temperature. The kinetic data follow the pseudo-second-order (PSO) model, while the isotherms are described by the Langmuir model, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 51.60 mg-g⁻ . The thermodynamic analysis indicates a spontaneous, favorable, and endothermic process. Regeneration tests also confirm the adsorbent's good recycling potential.
