When you need answers

Like most of the "Bible" series, this is the place you can go when you are unsure of your next step, or want to know how to do "it". This is worth shelf space, but keep it close.

Superb guide

I've worked wirth and recommended the past several editions of this book -- and each one has been better than the last. With the Premiere Pro 2 edition, Droblas and Greenberg have raised the bar even further, with even more comprehensive information and valuable insight on workflow, special effects and creating smoothly running, professional looking digital video. The enhanced information on creating animated menus is especially valuable. I'm using this in my own work, as well as recommending it to my students.

Good Book

As a novice Premiere user, I found this book to be thorough and comprehansive. It provided all of the information I needed to get going, and I've referred to it many times in the past couple of months when I just needed a guidance on a particular situation. Some of the screenshots are dark, but still useful if not highly aesthetic. The files on the DVD are very useful.

Good Starter

This book was very helpful in getting me started. I didn;t have a background in video but needed to do some work related projects. I found chapter 6 (editing audio) for seperating audio tracks helpful and chapter 7 (transitions) a big help for adding great effects to my videos!It taught me what I needed to know about editting video with this powerful Adobe tool! Love the Bible series.

Gets the Job Done

I have to disagree with some of the other users. I found that this book covered every aspect of Premiere and definitely added some valuable context beyond the basic "how to" found in the manual. It was comprehensive, filled with helpful tips and notes, and included lots of additional leads and info for Web-based resources and hardware / studio setups.
