If you want to go 70's, this is your book!

Really well done projects include small blueprints, photos, drawings to add a room almost anywhere.I actually found the layouts easier to picture and understand than many home improvement articles and books. Decorations are the 70's! Highly recommended. Now out of print. 80 pgs, with stiff covers.
