Adaptation is the defined for the purposes of this study, as modification of a basic structure to adjust it for more efficient use under certain circumstances. Diversity in the food and feeding behavior has resulted in numerous behavioural, structural and physiological adaptations of the different parts of the avian feeding apparatus. Birds have shown maximum adaptive abilities for food getting during their radiation.
