Adam Buxton: The Biography

Adam Offord Buxton was born on June 7, 1969, in Shepherd's Bush, London, to a family with a blend of British and Chilean heritage. His father, Nigel Buxton, a travel writer and wine critic, later became known to Adam's fans as "Baaad Dad" on The Adam and Joe Show. His mother, Valerie, hailed from Chile, adding a multicultural dimension to Adam's upbringing. His early years saw him split time between London and Wales, nurturing an imagination that would later fuel his comedic and artistic endeavors.

Adam's education began at Windlesham House School in West Sussex before he moved on to Westminster School in London. It was here that he formed lifelong friendships with future luminaries like Joe Cornish, his eventual comedy partner, and Louis Theroux, who would become a renowned documentarian. Despite a brief stint at the University of Warwick, Adam realized that academia was not his calling and transitioned to Cheltenham College of Art to study sculpture.
