Have you ever wondered about the Garden of Eden? What was it like for the first man to wake up in the first moments after he was created? Did he automatically know language, or did it come to him gradually as it was needed? Was it the same for Eve? What was the work they did to tend the Garden? What was it like to be naked and not even think about clothing? What was Adam and Eve's mindset toward God? In a perfect environment, with a loving Father, an ideal husband-wife relationship, no sin of any kind in their hearts, and joy and beauty everywhere, why would they even consider doing the one thing God commanded them not to do? Once Eve ate of the fruit, was there any chance to undo the damage? Could Adam have done anything? Did he try? If he did, how did that unfold? What was the difference between their environment and their attitudes before and after their sin? Why did God kick them out of the Garden? What are the implications for man-woman relationships as a result of their sin? This short story gives perspective to all these questions and more. Obviously, this is a fictional, dramatized account, and in no way purports to be the unvarnished truth of the matter. But perhaps it will spark conversations, thoughts, and research into what scripture teaches about these topics. I invite you to read the story and join the conversation. I look forward to your comments and questions. Leave a comment on my web site at www.itsokaytobeme.com, or e-mail me at AEcoulditbe@gmail.com.
