I've bought quite a lot of books, some better than others, this one has it's position right next to my work computer. I cannot remember everything, and this book provides an excellent source of reference, as even now although I've read it many times and understand the concepts, the finer points sometimes need completion. This reference section covers just about everything. - I'd give it a "must have".

I purchased the pocket reference at Flash Forward and have found it very useful. ASDG2 is still a must have but the reference is very good to keep with you on the go. I read through the book on the flight back and realized some things I had forgotten (I think some of it is a new addition from ASDG2). It is also very good to use if you are constantly in an external editor and don't want to flip through a big book for reference.Great...

For me, perhaps tying the scripting in with something I already know well will be what I need to retain the material. Time will tell.My only wish/want/desire for this...

Let me start by saying, I'd be suprised if this book gets 1 review with less than 5 stars.I come from a programming background, and have in the past, for whatever reason, found the Flash interface to be confusing and cumbersome. I bought 2 Flash books prior to this one "Teach Yourself Flash Visually" and "Flash 5 Magic With Actionscript". Both books have their merits, but after owning these books, I was still a Flash novice...
