On May 18, 2019, Ethan McGuire, a Dodge City detective, finds the diary of his ancestor, Declan McGuire, a Dodge City Deputy Marshal. There is only one entry - from May 18, 1876 - exactly 143 years ago. The next night he is shocked when he finds a second entry. Ethan tentatively pens a question, and soon a conversation begins. With a link to the past, Ethan creates a desperate plan.
