My review

I loved this book. This book is about my family. I am so glad to hear that people loved the book too. My aunt spent lots of time on this book.

Where's Oprah?

This book is what Oprah's Book Club is made of. Real people dealing with real life events. Martha Jon's pulls you in and you are riveted. This story and these characters became a part of me. Exceptional story telling! Hopefully this won't be Jons' last work.

Emotional!

Anger, sadness, laughing through my tears, all of the above. Martha Jons' spun my emotions and catapulted my into the midst of this southern family. Everyone should read this book. I will recomend it as a must-read for all teenagers! What's next from Ms. Jons'?

A must read!

This is a gripping story of how a poverty stricken family in Eastern Kentucky dealt with their mother's illness and triumphed through the generations to erase the poverty and sadness that plagued them. This is a very inspirational story. It was hard to put it down. Definitely a must read! I hope to see more work from Martha Jons' soon!
