Buy this book. I seldom see a book of such quality and coverage of a subject as this one. This is one of the best poetry book I can recall reading in a very long time. What makes this book receive such high accolades with me is the quality of the pages, diversity of subject matter. The book succeeds where most poetry books fail. This book deserves a second look just for the unique illustrations. They have minute details that keep the eyes busy scanning and re-scanning each page, it ties in the different experiences the reader could embark on. I am amazed by the author's poetic abilities. He depicts the world around him with an unbiased view, which enables the reader to think critically. The use of descriptive words keeps you lingering on the pages and the poem. With a seemingly pure voice the author carries you on an adventure. I can't seem to put this book down. It is phenomenal. I love Le Divorce, Musings, Must We Soar, Longing, and the Near Death Experience was quite spooky. I can see the author through all the poems. As a matter of fact, this is gold penetrating through my mind, full of flavor, worth more than the price. In summary, "The Acorns of the Soul" should have its place on every person's bookshelf and certainly every public library and middle school, high school to universities in the country. This book is truly a breathtaking, and sometimes startling; it is a journey into the world of an author's everyday thought.
