A definite listen to

This was sooo much fun to listen to. It’s like a cozy read and a dark romance got together and created this story.we have our FMC who is a bit impulsive and unhinged. For once it’s the FMC and not the guy. She’s pushing the buttons of the man she’s wanted for years, not realizing he wants her.. wants her badly, he’s just holding back as he’s also her brothers best friend and can’t cross that line. There is also a mystery of what caused her parents to be murdered, who were the people they were involved with and why is digging into this suddenly causing threats against her and her chosen family? I so enjoyed our main character, Evie’s crazy. She just does a lot of those things we want to do but have impulse control… in theory. There is mid level spice. As far as the narrators. The female was excellent. Personal preference.. she enunciates her wording soooo well and feels like she’s enjoying the story as she reading it The male main character narrator… omg when he first started reading… just wow. I audibly gasped. Just a yummy voice and grumble. Arc read
