ACCOUNTING: Text and Cases, 10/E is a 28 chapter book. Chapters 1-14 cover financial accounting, while Chapters 15-21 cover management accounting, and Chapters 22-28 focus on broader issues of control and corporate strategy. The approximately 120 cases that largely make up the end-of-chapter material are a combination of classic Harvard style cases, as well as extended problems.New to this edition is the inclusion of 2-3 problems per chapter. These problems, while not as involved as the case material, allow the students to exercise the concepts demonstrated in each chapter. The goal of the problem material is to provide a transition to the case material, which is a response to customer requests.
This is a great intro to accounting book I am not a math inclided person but this book has been great for me to learn the concepts of basic accounting
Not difficult but detailed.

This is a very advanced begining accounting text used by Harvard University in its accounting courses. It combines both Financial and Management Accounting and it is extremely detailed. Their are no solutions in the tests for their very difficult problems and I have not found a study guide to accompany it thus far. Do not buy it if you are not familiar with accounting. This is a textbook.
Good High Level Overview

I would recommend this text for higher level accounting/financial analysis courses. There are many other books out there to dive into the exact nature of making journal entries etc. so don't think of this as an excellent beginner to intermediate stlye text. The cases are excellent for those who will be making upper level decisions not the actual day to day transactions.
Insightful Case Studies

I can see the point of several previous reviewers that certain additional details flesh out end of chapter case studies. However, I found the writing fresh, insightful, and pointed. Multiple end of chapter resources further illuminated chapter material in detail. In conjunction with a thorough professor, this book is an excellent tool for understanding accounting material.
My reference in Accounting

This title is the most important one in my library when it comes to accounting. It really covers everything I need to know within the subject. No problems with understandability or annoying typos either. Recommended as a first buy.
