This book aims to assess the understanding of participants in the 5th Specialization Course in Continuing and Distance Education regarding accessibility practices designed for people with visual impairments in Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). To achieve this objective, an action research strategy with participant observation was used, monitoring the development of the course's VLEs by applying accessibility strategies and assessing the understanding of its actors in this regard. It was observed that participants understood the importance of promoting accessibility in the construction of the course's VLEs and were able to identify some accessibility strategies, especially textual description and information organization, although most did not demonstrate the ability to apply them in MOODLE in the construction of their teaching modules.
