Growing up with a mother, that felt strongly about marital vows, became a detrimental curse, after being passed down through generations. Love is a magnificent feeling, and marriage is supposed to be beautiful and sacred, at least that's what some say. You fell in love at first sight, you knew he was the man of your dreams, you couldn't wait to say your vows. You were ready to live up to the standards in which you learned to do. After one week you stood and looked your soulmate in his eyes, and repeated your vows, "I take you my love, to have and to hold from this day forward. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health. To love and to cherish, till death do us part, and thereto I pledge you my faithfulness." You said the vows because the pastor told you to repeat them, not knowing what they meant; you just wanted the man. Listening to your mother, she told you, the husband is the head, and you are the tail; you must submit to him in every way. You tried to obey her and the principle of the vows, but you encountered brutal physical violence. The man that you didn't date, but loved so much, had violent attributes, he started taking out his abnormal characteristics on you. Every day you feared your life, because he brutally beat you half to death. He took control of your mind and then started abusing his baby daughter as well; he committed sexual immorality sin towards her, and paid her brother to take advantage of her as well; she was only fifteen years old. The father worshiped his son and taught him, a life of hatred and wrongdoings. Once he got older, he got bold and started telling lies, so his mother and younger sibling would get beaten up by the father.
