fabulous historical

After barely surviving THE BLOODING OF JACK ABSOLUTE at the Battle of Quebec and nearly freezing to death in the wintry north of the New World, Jack wants to go home. England seems so warm and friendly suddenly even rejoining his unit the 16th Light Dragoons. On board the slave ship Sweet Eliza crossing the Atlantic, Jack meets and becomes friends with Irish grenadier soldier Red Hugh McClune. Upon reaching England, the two buddies journey to Bath, where Red introduces Jack to his beautiful cousin, Laetitia Fitzpatrick. Jack courts Laetitia, but her siren's lure leads him into the middle of traitorous activity, which becomes even more lucid to the stunned soldier when his superior officer sends him undercover to Rome to learn more about a seditious plot against his England. Jack's heart leads him astray as he must choose between ABSOLUTE HONOR and ABSOLUTE LOVE. As in the previous tales Jack makes the era seem real as this time he brings to life the 1760s when nefarious plots seem everywhere. Fans of the saga know absolutely that C. C. I own all three books in this series and I really enjoy them! Jack is a great character and the author does a great job bringing him to life for the reader. I can't wait to see what adventures the author has in store for Jack next!
