The author's late sojourn into the literary world began after retirement when he sought to find in poetry, composing, playwrighting, and the writing of short stories, essays, and novels in Spanish and English, a way to grow old with a modicum of productive consequence and grace. Absence of Virtue is his first published novel. He has enjoyed producing and directing his plays and has several new plays he would like to produce. A book of short stories as well as a book of his scripts are in the works.
