A keeper

This book is a clear, sound, down to earth and well-illustrated discussion of the non-fiction writing principles and practices that work best with readers. Woolever's advice is pertinent to many forms of writing -- the academic thesis, the standard English essay, the legal brief, the research report, even the business memorandum. I have used the book for a number of years to teach advanced writing to English majors in Taiwan, and have long kept a copy on my own shelf for my own counsel and instruction.
